The following column is by Larry Perrault, a theologian and political philosopher who lives in Houston, Texas. Larry is a strong supporter of Gov. Sarah Palin. In the 2008 primary season, he supported Gov. Mike Huckabee.
I am disabled with MS. But, I do a lot of Internet communication. I’m also working on a writing project. I got this Special Message below from HuckPAC. Properly enough as a minister, your father retains and expresses a relatively positive Outlook. I hope in some respect, I’m able to project a bit of such a positive disposition. However, it strikes me as a bit sanguine to talk about getting “this country back on track.” Even assuming that we might thwart or more likely slow, the intrusion of the federal government into the private domain of medical care, the fiscal folly already accomplished alone is not a mere ditch but a multi-generational canyon from which it is hard to imagine how we could emerge in any sort of typically American state of health in liberty and commerce. The record of Republicans in undoing liberal folly is not a sterling one and appears particularly unpromising in the case of the enormity of this profligacy.
I watch your father’s television program weekly. I would sure love to hear it if he has reason beyond a mere encouragement for America to persevere, putting one step in front of the other irrespective of circumstance. I’m near his age and would share much of the romance of America as having experienced God’s blessing. But, I believe it has experienced that not by virtue of our name or geography but by the maintenance of some respect of the liberty that is the endowment of the creator. Today, we retain the name with which the USA was founded, but for many years that respect of liberty has been allowed to (unconstitutionally) drift until today, when it seems to have disappeared down a stretch of whitewater rapids. It is not a political or geographical definition but a social ideal that is the

Should Sarah Run in 2012?
The following comments are from CPAC section on Team Sarah, and they raise the question whether Sarah should run in 2012? I'll respond to them tomorrow (Thursday). I believe she should plan to run for the presidency.
Comment on Points Made in the Following piece by John:
John makes excellent points (below in italics), and I tend to agree. . . . But I'm not so sure about their ability to rack up a Super Majority in Congress in the off year elections. Traditionally, the President's party does not do well in the off years.I view the off year as an opportunity for us to drill into their existing majority. If that happens significantly, then I think Sarah should go for it. If it doesn't happen, then I think she should cool it, and build her resume.

And Mitt Romney is worth 100 million, doesn't and never will have to work to support his family or his presidential ambitions.Huck falls into the same class. They can afford to put every political operative in Iowa on retainer. The simple fact remains if Obama has 50 % or better favorability no one will beat him no matter how much money or how long they campaign. He already has 200 mill for the next election and I saw on a dem web site they expect to have a 2 billion war chest for 2012 plus the incumbent advantage They are already counting the additional seats they are going to pick up in 2010 for a super majority they are that confident. I personally think that she needs to be re-elected in 2010 and then take a look at it in 2011. The more leadership experience and getting re-elected will go a long way in the public eye. If the great one has fallen there will still be plenty of time. If he has not then Huck and Mitt can waste their money and they will be labeled as unelectable for what will be what the third or fourth time. Remember Sarah Draws big crowds , Mitt and Huck don't come close to generating that kind of excitement. 2011 will be soon enough to start if the conditions are right and if not 2014 will be just right . Unless the One gets the Constitution changed it will be a level playing field. Two full terms as governor , two years to campaign unrestricted plus the time in between to gain international expertise and build one helluva grass roots organization. Remember it has taken 8 years for the dems to get back in the white house.

Sarah in 2012: You Betcha

Note: If you want to join our pro-Palin group, please e-mail at: TalkTop65@aol.com. Include your first name (and last, if you wish), state, and congressional district.
Most members of this group are dedicated to the nomination and election as POTUS in 2012 of Gov. Sarah Heath Palin. Of course, in making presidential choices you're allowed to change your mind. :-)
Why so early? Because if we don't begin now to build a massive organization of real political activists, we will end up offering up no more than a sacrificial lamb for Obama/Axelrod in 2012.
The Polls
Rassumssen announced today that 69% of Republican believe Sarah Palin was an asset to the ticket. Also, Republicans' preferences NOW for a presidential candidate in 2012 are: Sarah Palin, 64%; Mike Huckabee 12%; Mitt Romney 11%; others or no preference 13%.
The Group
The function of this particular group will be, first, to exist and, second, to play a critical role in the next two elections (2010 and 2012). We should support one another in helping develop an army of trained, effective volunteers. I hope you'll join me in supporting every EFFECTIVE organization that's backing the 2012 election of Gov. Palin.
The Groups Out There
What can you do right now? I hope you'll join -- soon -- several organizations that are pro-Palin.
* One ishttp://teamsarah.org/, the one represented so effectively by Janine Turner. The group is two months old, and it now has nearly 50,000 members. It's first rate.
*Another -- especially if you're a blogger -- is http://readmylipsticknetwork.com//*A third group of pro-Sarah emailers on Yahoo is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/teamsarah2012/
*A "Palinista' from the Pittsburgh area, Stacy, is forming an online group for conservative women. You can find out about it by going to: http://smartgirlpolitics.blogspot.com/.
Also, the wonderful Paul Zannucci of The American Sentinel sent me the following today: "Personally, I am actually moving my focus to two more immediate areas, media bias (the forthcoming firethemedia.com) and the midterm elections (also forthcoming, winin2010.org).
"That said, I do support Sarah Palin, think she has been the recipient of historical levels of BS and look forward to helping in whatever way I might to get her in the White House in 2012."
Sarah and Greta on FOX Monday
One thing I hope everyone will do is to watch Greta van Sustern's interview of Gov. Palin on FOX tomorrow (Monday) evening. I have a hunch it will break some news about "Sarah's future."
I'd like very much to hear your views about the best ways to proceed with advancing our cause. I'll reprint as many responses as I can on my Sarah blog, which is: http://draftpalin2012.blogspot.com/. There will be 6-7 columns per week there -- God willing, right through the 2913 Inauguration that now seems so many years away. The Obama Presidency
There's a good chance the Obama presidency will be calamitous. I don't wish it, but I do expect it.
Hopefully, a group like ours -- and thousands of others supporting a remarkable woman, Sarah Palin -- will offer hope not just to us but to the entire country. Thanks for your participation. And please ask everyone you know to do the same.
This may just be the ride of a lifetime!

Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee

We Cling to our God . . . and Our Children Cling to Us. Sarah, Todd, and Trig Palin, an American family.
On the ridiculous "charges" against Gov. Palin that she was a diva and other nonsense. I wrote the following to a Texas friend who's a great supporter of Mike Huckabee . . . and Sarah Palin
Larry, three McCain Staffers came out today and said it was all B-S. On the "diva" charge, staffer Nicole Wallace said, "She once asked me for a can of diet soda." Schoenmann, the foreign policy expert said she was as smart, curious, and focused as anyone he'd ever encountered. Another staffer (Miss Stapleton?) also defended Sarah vigorously.
On my support of Sarah in 2012: It's so much easier to organize around a person than an issue or two. Fair tax won't draw a crowd, but Gov. Huckabee will.
It's so important that people who were devastated by the results on Nov. 4 have places to go -- and people to follow. Sarah is one of those people. She's not the only one, but she is now the biggest magnet.
Larry, I hope she and your political hero Mike Huckabee do a lot of talking over the next year-plus. The differences between them, if any, are minimal. Both have great appeal because they basically love humanity, warts and all.
I have tremendous respect for Mike. I wish we lived at a time when they could run together, but either of them would be a great President. They both have the capacity to live moral lives without coming across as holier-than-thou.
My friend and PA political analyst Rodger Morrow called Obama's win "a catastrophic victory." Today, BHO explained he had talked only to "living" Presidents. Is that what he meant by "change?"
