Shocking Revelations About Barack Obama

Pamela Geller on Atlas Shrugs has a remarkable column on the often bizarre behavior of Barack H. Obama. I urge you to read it. (I'll comment more on Sunday about Pamela's revelations.) Here's the link:

http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2009/08/cnn-tells-sells-more-lies-about-palin-its-time-to-expose-the-truth-about-obama.html

Like Pamela, I've determined that the stream of baseless rumors about Gov. Sarah Palin come directly from Obama's political gurus David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel. (More about this in coming days.)

Obama Fiddles While America Burns

While Obama is busy "saving the world" (with his trusty TelePrompter), he's doing a terrible job protecting the U.S. . . .

With TARP (Troubled Assets Relief Program) and the Stimulus Package, Obama has essentially thrown money (nearly $1.5 trillion) in the direction of his favored groups (bankers, unions, and big city governments) -- and done little or nothing for the American people.

How much is $1.5 trillion? Basically, it adds up to $5,000 for every American -- men, women, and children. In other words, if the Obama Administration had been so inclined, which it was not, it could have sent a family of four nearly $20,000. The "Octomom," with a total of 14 children, would have received $75,000.

Instead, Obama has favored financial institutions, the same ones that caused the global economic crisis. AIG has received nearly $175 billion, the equivalent of nearly $600 from every Americans. Other firms, including the Bank of America, have also received huge sums. Famously, of course, AIG executives received $165 million in "Chris Dodd bonuses." That adds up to about $555 from every American. By the way, did you receive even $1 as a bonus?

Of course, Obama/Geithner pretend that this is "free money." They don't link it to taxpayers. Instead, they imply that the government has a money tree that it can pluck to give payments to favored groups. They forget to mention the huge campaign "donations" Obama and other leftists received from financial institutions like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Merrill-Lynch, and other entities. (Note: Goldman Sachs received the government money indirectly, the better to protect its executives' huge bonuses.)

In fact, giving every American $5,000 would have produced much better results. Because part of the money would have been spent and part invested, the results would have been much better. People would have bought houses, cars, and other goods. How would it have helped, say, banks? Frankly, a lot of the money would have been deposited, which is exactly what banks need. With a big infusion of deposits, banks would have had a great deal more money to lend.

As usual, Obama's politically driven approach has shortchanged the American people. Americans want to believe in the man, but he's giving them precious little reason to do so.

Does Sarah Palin Lack "Gravitas?"

Some people assert Sarah Palin lacks the "gravitas" (seriousness, solemnity, and intellectual firepower) to be President. I beg to differ. Unlike her opponent-to-be, Barack H. Obama, Sarah has never been a "Chicago politician."

On the gravitas issue, Sarah already has a lot more of it than Barack Hussein Obama, with his giggling and "punch drunk: manner, not to mention the "March Madness" idiocy, as well as his crude statement on Special Olympics, and his use of a TelePrompter on all occasions, which has led to a web site of and by . . . Barack's TelePrompter. The YouTube of him using a TelePrompter to get the notoriously sour Michelle "in the mood" is not far off the mark.

Sarah is a friendly, open person who relies more on naturalness (to her advantage) than on some assumed persona. What we see with Sarah is what we get.

The "intellectual Presidents" we had included Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, and (to a degree) Bill Clinton. None of them was a raging success. The notion that Obama is abnormally bright is laughable. What he knows is what he reads on the aforesaid TelePrompter.

In the campaign, Joe Biden made one false statement after another. He also misrepresented consistently the circumstances of his wife's and daughter's death in an auto accident. (He claimed for years that the truck driver involved, Mr. Hamill, was drunk.) CBS News (Katie the Rodent) made the same claim. CBS retracted this week its repetition of the Biden story, as Mr. Hamill's daughter informed me.

See the following link for the true story: http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Misc/misc.transport.trucking/2008-09/msg00683.html

But Joe, with his fake silver hair and garrulous nonsense, has "gravitas."

I don't believe Sarah wants to be -- or will be -- anything but what she is, a normal American who has great leadership qualities. She's average in some ways, but way above-average in the things that count. Her appeal is to mid-Americans who identify with her as a wife, a mother, a hunter, an athlete, an advocate for special needs children, and a rock of integrity.

In short, just what America needs. That has to be enough.

Obama: Pedestrian Inaugural Address

Will this be America's "First Couple" in 2013? One hopes -- and prays -- that will be the case.

Starting today on my other blog -- yes, my arms do get tired -- I've begun writing about the Obama presidency, mainly -- I admit -- about its deficiencies. I will have another column here later today -- about 7 p.m. -- about a true American heroine, Gov. Sarah Heath Palin. God willing, both blogs will continue until the Inauguration of America's 45th President, Gov. Palin, in the third of January, 2013. In that effort, I ask for your help -- your votes, your financial resources, and your organizational skills. On our part, it will demand, as the Book of Common Prayer suggests, "not less than everything."

Listening now to Obama's Inaugural Address, the early parts (and middle and latter parts) of it are NOT Lincolnesque. It's pedestrian, a series of shop-warm generalities and cliches. I didn't really expect more.

Right now, I urge you to visit my Obama blog (http://stevemaloneygop.blogspot.com/) , which features an essay on Obama's Inauguration of Ignorance, Fraud, and Racism . . . preceding a presidency that will consist largely of "bread and circuses."

The following was sent to me by Linda in Texas, a major force in the effort to keep Barack H. Obama out of the White House. The article is from The Canada Free Press. (http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/7737) and entitled"The Bread and Circuses Presidency. It's by Daniel Greenfield, and it was published on Monday, January 19, 2009

Greenfeiled's eloquent comments speak for all of us who believe today, Obama's Inauguration Day, should be one of national mourning. The author says "It will be an Inauguration of Ignorance, a Festival of Fraud. . ." Also, "Forget expecting results or ethics from the occupant of the White House. Just join an organization or a cause and stick your hand out for your share of misappropriated taxpayer money, and get ready to vote online for which puppy the Obama’s should adopt. …"

(Note: Yesterday evening, France 24, the Paris-based new agency, asked me for comments about "First Lady," Michelle Obama. The following is what I gave them:

"All Americans, including this one, wish Barack and Michelle Obama well at this historic moment. The problem is that Barack Obama and -- apparently -- Michelle did not wish President George W. Bush well. Instead, they -- and many Obama Supporters -- caricatured the man in a vicious way for political gain.

I call Michelle Robinson Obama "the angry lady."

As a student at Princeton University, Michelle (Robinson) wrote a thesis in which she condemned most of her fellow Black students. To her, their "offense" was that they aspired to assimilate into mainstream American society.

In more recent times, Michelle observed that, after her husband won the Iowa Primary, she "was proud of [her] country for the first time in {her] adult life." After that, the Obama Campaign basically shut her up as a form of damage control.

A graduate of Princeton and Harvard Law School, a woman who held a $300,00 a year "community relations" job, a person married to a man elected Presidernt of the U.S., Michelle Obama should be filled with pride and gratitude. Whether she is remains to be seen.

Barack Obama's Coming Economic Calamity

If a country gets drunk on bad financial practices, the solution is not to open up another bottle.

If Gov. Sarah Palin can get 51% of the women's vote in 2012, she will win by a significant margin. That shouldn't be impossible, given that she IS a woman, but nothing is easy when you go against the Obama Machine.

What about Obama's "$1 trillion stimulus package?" It's a much-larger dose of the 'medicine' that made us sick in the first-place -- over-borrowing and giant dollop of inflation by running the money-printing-presses 24X7. If a country gets drunk on bad financial practices, the way to solve it is not to open up another bottle.

How on God's earth is it the right thing to do to borrow another trillion from the Communist Chinese and basically send the bill to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren?

The economic historian Niall Ferguson (Oxford, Harvard, Stanford), who's an admirer of Sarah Palin, has written about the orgy of credit and financial promises in the U.S. and said that it has led to a $70 trillion "unfunded liability. That's a nice way of saying we have financial obligations that we as a nation have no way of paying."

The answer is NOT to borrow more. The answer is to start living, as individuals and a nation, within our means. Many people are responsible for the economic situation, including Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Barack Obama, all big-time recipients of "donations" from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the major culprits in the housing crisis.

I've been saying that the Obama presidency will be a calamity. I'm not wishing that, just saying that it's inevitable.

I heard today that the price of crude oil today was $36 a barrel, down a "little" from the high a few months ago of $140. The marketplace, which can be brutal when necessary, is "handling" the problems for us. Wall Street speculators -- not "supply and demand" -- drove oil prices up to unsustainable levels, and now economic fundamentals have sent oil futures into free fall.

The thing about windfall profits is that they're ultimately followed by windfall losses, which seem to be going around a lot these days.

Investment analyst Howard Ruff is right about 50% of the time, but his recent remarks about where we're headed economically are right on target. He says.

"We are in for some rough times, and it's laughable that the same people who caused the problems are now being hailed as our saviors.

"First, we will continue to plunge into a major deflation period [falling real prices] which wi ll be characterized as a 'recession,' and later in the year as a 'depression.' Deflation and inflation are always monetary phenomena.

"Second, deflation will evolve into a run-away-hyper-inflationary depression because of what government will do to try to prevent deflation, which is synonymous with depression and has overtones of the 1930s.

"The government is creating money at a rate unprecedented in all of American History, with deflation and depression, driving their decisions, as politicians hate deflation. That is why they have been inflating the currency at varying rates for decades."

Look for Barack Obama to take the current mess that is the U.S. economy -- and make it worse. Look for him, as several NY Times reporters recently speculated, to be a one-term President. Look for Sarah Heath Palin, four years from next week, to become the 45th President of the U.S.
